Elaine's visit to Costa Rica

Sister Elaine took the plunge and visited in December. Her first trip to Costa Rica and indeed her first trip to anywhere in the tropics. Some good planning from her side and an itinerary worked out by Shir and myself here in Costa Rica provided a smooth trip while seeing as much as possible of the country in a limited time. Elaine arrived on Dec.16 and returned to SA on Jan. 6.

The itinerary we came up with started at our house in Pozos, covering the Caribbean lowlands north of the capitol, the Caribbean coast down to Puerto Viejo, the central highlands, south-central part of the Pacific coast, and the Arenal and Monteverde area.

Although she saw a lot (and most of her bucket list) there is a most definite call for a second visit!!

Highlights for her was most certainly to see Arenal volcano, the Quetzal, Scarlet Macaws, Sloths, the Carretas and the little Costa Rica trademark Red-eyed tree Frog.

The trip was a success to say the least, as the photo album will show.
